Shark Navigator Liftaway Deluxe Upright Vacuum Blue Nv360
Design
The Shark Navigator Lift-Away Deluxe feels reasonably well-built. It has a mainly plastic construction, though its wand is made of metal. It's easy to take apart and reassemble since most of its components clip onto one another, but it could be sturdier in places, especially its clear plastic dirt compartment, which feels somewhat fragile.
The Shark Navigator Lift-Away DLX has many parts that need to be cleaned regularly.
- Dirt compartment: You need to release the two clips on the side of the vacuum to pull out the dirt compartment. It can be opened from the top or bottom by pressing the separate unlock buttons. The dustbin should be emptied after every cleaning session.
- Lint screen: The lint screen can be accessed by lifting up the dustbin's top cover. It should be cleaned periodically, though no specific maintenance interval is given.
- Brushroll: The brushroll can't be removed, making it difficult to clean. If you want to access it, you can remove the vacuum head from the vacuum body and flip the head over. Use scissors or your hands to remove tangled hair wraps and other stuck-on debris.
- Pre-motor filters: The foam and felt pre-motor filters are found under the dirt compartment. They should be cleaned every three months with lukewarm water.
- Post-motor (HEPA) filter: You can access the HEPA filter by removing the front cover on the vacuum. You should clean it once every two years with lukewarm water.
You must air dry any part that's washed with water for at least 24 hours before using it again. If you're looking for an upright vacuum with fewer parts that need to be regularly cleaned, consider the Hoover WindTunnel 2 Whole House Rewind.
Bag Part Number No bag
Filter Part Number XFF350
HEPA Filter Part Number XHF350
The Shark Navigator Lift-Away DLX incurs virtually no recurring costs. Its pre and post-motor filters are also washable, and as long as they're well-maintained, they shouldn't need replacing.
Note: There's a discrepancy between the product's written description, which says the HEPA filter needs replacing every six months, and the manual, which says that this filter needs washing once every two years. Since the manual is the most current and up to date version, we have reported the manual's maintenance expectations for the HEPA filter.

Cord Storing Manual
On-Board Tool Storage Yes
Vacuum Rack/Station No
The Shark Navigator Lift-Away Deluxe has decent storage capabilities. It has onboard storage for its upholstery tool and crevice tool on its accessory holder, and you can remove the accessory holder if you want. You can wrap up its power cord on hooks on the side of the vacuum when it's not in use.
Volume 0.29 gal (1.10 L)
Full Indicator Yes
Bag Included No Bag Needed
The Shark NV360's dirt compartment is good. It's quite large, so it shouldn't need to be emptied too frequently. Since it's made of clear plastic and has a maximum fill line indicator, you can tell how full it is at a glance.

Maximum Wand Length 3.35 ft (1.02 m)
Total Range 28.35 ft (8.64 m)
The Shark NV360 has a disappointing range. Its power cord is fairly long, allowing you to clean large areas without swapping outlets, but its hose length is quite short, which can be inconvenient when cleaning high-mounted shelves or other hard-to-reach areas.

Weight In Hand 3.64 lbs (1.65 kg)

The Shark Navigator Lift-Away Deluxe is reasonably portable. It's somewhat heavy, but it feels light in the hand, and it has a built-in carrying handle to make it easier to pick up and carry.

The Shark Navigator Lift-Away Deluxe NV360 has a couple of quality-of-life features. It has two floor-type adjustment levels: 'Bare Floor I', which is for cleaning bare floors like hardwood or tile, and 'Brushroll ON II', which is designed to clean carpet. There's also a suction release control on the handle, which you can slide open if you find the vacuum difficult to push around on carpeted floors and rugs.

Blower Mode No
You can use the Shark Navigator Lift-Away DLX in its upright position or as a semi-handheld vacuum by uncoupling its canister from its body and cleaning with its wand and hose.

The Shark Navigator Lift-Away Deluxe has decent performance on bare floors. It has no problem picking up small debris like rice, but it has a hard time with pet hair as well as bulky debris like cereal, as its head can just pass over this kind of debris instead of sucking it up. Cleaning bare floors with its brushroll off also causes bulky debris to get caught on the unmoving brushroll. Thankfully, suction performance remains consistent as its dustbin fills up.

The Shark NV360 delivers great performance on low-pile carpet. It can suck up pet hair without an issue and clears the majority of both fine debris like baking soda and larger material like sand, though you might still need to make another pass to clean everything.
Setting Used "Brushroll On II" (Suction Release Open)
Large Debris at 0 gal (0L) 63%

The Shark Navigator Lift-Away Deluxe has impressive performance on high-pile carpet. It can easily pick up pet hair and a good amount of fine and large debris. However, it may still take you an extra pass or two to fully clean some types of debris from this surface.

The Shark NV360 has mediocre maneuverability. The rotating head helps when trying to maneuver around obstacles. However, the vacuum's body is still quite bulky, making it harder to fit in tight areas or clean under tables and chairs when you aren't using it in its semi-handheld 'Lift-Away' configuration. The vacuum also gets stuck on tassels, and it can move rugs around when its suction release is open.
